Paul’s new 7’4"

Posted in: News, Uncategorized by Richard Harvey on May 24, 2009

7’4″ x 19′ x 2/12″ Twin concave vee with a slight nose vee. Mid boxed rails and a custom wipe-on design.

Small swallow tail and glass-0n fin with a stiff flex make this board a safer option than a full concave bottom.
Designed for mid sized waves in the Pacific and Indonesia.
This design is also available with a pintail and a variety of colours, patterns and fin systems.

“The all day sucker” is this Micro Mal’s inspiration.

Dimensions are 6’3″ x 22 1/2″ x 3″, wide mal nose with a flow thru concave and a rounded pintail flyer with concave vee.
Single fin, twin fin, mal, thruster whatever flavour you choose it will be fun, fun, fun.
Andy knows, he bought the Austin Powers inspired “Yeah Baby” and is loving it.
You will too.
Balsa Gun

The balsa board has been finish coated and polished by master polisher Jun and is a now a pleasure to behold.

The abalone and cedar logo glows and the colour and grain of the balsa is revealed.
I’m happy with the result as I’m sure the new owner will be.
The final weight came in at around 17kg.
Well now it’s back to the easy shaping of foam, although I am in the process of preparing to build another timber board of cedar and balsa in the Duke finless style of the 30′s.
More to come on that one.
New Painting finished

Over the last few weeks this piece has been sitting on the easel and every time I walk past it screams “finish me”. Well now I have. A third piece in the Batik series.

Balsa Gun nearly completed

Balsa board timber tail block and the cedar and abalone shell logo have been added.

The logo will be better appreciated once the board has been finished coated and polished.
It’s been glassed and sanded and I should have it back from Jung the master polisher later this coming week, can’t wait.
As you can see by the pics the sanding is a dusty job but really brings the board back to the original shape.
